My name is Zack Hankin, I am a Christian and student minister currently working at St George Hospital. Currently, I am studying at Moore Theological College in Newtown, and I have graduated UNSW with a Bachelor of Technology Aeronautical Engineering.
In August 2016, I had a grade 2 Astrocytoma removed through a craniotomy conducted at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, NSW. It was detected through a change in my mental health. I have Depression and Anxiety which started being serious at the beginning of 2016.
Since then, while working as a student minister, I have been raising awareness of mental illness, and by doing that, I have had lots of conversations with people about their struggles. From these conversations and people asking me questions about mental health, I have been convicted of starting this blog, to help people struggling with mental illness and to inform people who just don’t understand it. As well I will be posting about my experiences with cancer and how it has strengthened my faith in Jesus so much I want to spend the rest of my life teaching about this amazing truth.
